MOLONGWI STUDY – COVID19, IMPACTS IN FRANCE

Almost a year after the global shift in the Covid-19 crisis with outcomes still uncertain, the situation of students in France is presented as particularly worrying.

Between psychological distress and exacerbated financial precariousness, students try to take control of their lives, between the need to respect barrier gestures and the desire to take full advantage of their youth and flourish in their projects.

This situation is particularly more critical for foreign students, half of whom have lost a student job as a result of the crisis.

Few data, however, accurately reflect the impacts on sub-Saharan African students in France who represent 22% of the 358,000 students hosted in France.

It is for this reason that the think tank Molongwi initiated this study with its partners in order to highlight the impacts of the Covid-19 crisis on the administrative situation, resources, well-being as well as the prospects for Future of Sub-Saharan African Students in France.

The data is collected from 09/04 to 25/04.
